Complaint Centrepoint/Murtaugh
Friday
State Board of Pharmacy
This is a complaint against the Colorado State Pharmacy License(s) of the following:
Centrepoint "admits to" unprofessional conduct that is grounds for discipline. And then submits to the discipline, in the form of a stipulation. Case number "2011-002750" Centrepoint has a record. Which is saying something, because very few pharmacys are able to screw up bad enough to earn a disciplineary record. The Board will normally bend over backwards to give a "slap on the wrist", and then hide the violation from the public record. Which means if you can see it, the Board must have thought there was some reason it was "special". What I noticed when I read the stipulation is that they spelled "Centrepoint" wrong . My first thought was that you can't blame Kaiser for that. But when I thought about it for a few minutes, I realized, I was wrong. I do blame Kaiser for the mis-spelling. They have a consistant policy about names through-out the Kaiser Pharmacy, all over the country. From top to bottom. When it comes to names, they will fight you every step of the way. It's like pulling teeth. If they know there is no penaly for using a wrong name, you can count on a wrong name for as long as they can get away with it. Just as long as all they have to do is enter a correct name when they caught, they will gladly use a wrong name for as long as they possibly can. They will stall. They will obfuscate. They will act dumb. They will fight you. They will just be a jack ass at every opportunity. Kicking and screaming. Whatever the absolute minimum amount they can get away with, with no penalty, they will do 85 percent of that, to test you. And if they can get by with that, they will be pissed that they didn't do even less. And they will adjust, and do even less then next time. Like a complete Jack Ass about it. And then smirk. And act dumb. And the end result is that the State of Colorado mis-spells Centrepoint on the case document. And it's impossible (prety much) for me to know the name of know "the name of the Anonymous "Authorized Agent" of Respondent Pharmacy, i.e., Kaiser. And this, of course, is is exactly the way that Kaiser prefers things to be. Just as long as they don't have to pay any kind of penalty, you can count on this from Kaiser.
You can do this.
