On 1/14/20 I had blood drawn at
Aurora Centrepoint. I
asked the
phlebotomist
to tell me her name. She refused. I walked away with no further comment.
I wrote a letter of
complaint,
dated 12/29/20, to Member Services. I asked for the (1) name, and
the (2) professional status, of the
phlebotomist that poked me in the arm and drew my blood on 01/14/20.
I got a response to my 12/29/20 complaint, in the form of an unsigned
letter dated 1/28/21
from Marcantony T. I received this document on 2/1/21.
My written
request for a second review
was dated (and mailed) Friday, April 9, 2021.
The KP Statement of Member Rights says that my written request for a Second Review will be reviewed
by Member Services Administration (or their designee), who will respond to me
in writing, within 30 calendar days of the receipt of my request.
My written response from Kaiser Member Services is now six weeks late. And counting. To be
clear: I have not received a written response to my request for a Second Review.
I have attached a
screen print
from:
https://healthy.kaiserpermanente.org/pages/rights-responsibilities
The last bullet point is:
"Complaint and grievance procedure"
And that (of course) is exactly what I am talking about here.
Don't be a jackass about this.
The longer this takes, the
worse it makes the Leadership at Kaiser Permanente look.
A signed, written response, via the US Post Office, please. Do not
try to call me on the telephone.
