re:  Cite for the eScribe Mandate

For your convenience, this letter is published on the Internet at:
https://www.mkgappraisal.com/letter2023_11.htm

My doctor told me I could no longer leave her office with a hard copy prescription for my controlled substance medicine.  She said the law had changed.  She was now required by law to send the prescription to the pharmacy electroniclly.  No more prescription on paper.

My doctor said it was because of a new law.  My memory is a little fuzzy as to when this happened, but my best guess is about 18 months ago.

I am trying to learn about this new law.  I am finding it difficult to get straight answers to questions that have a direct impact on my health care.

I would like to read the law.  Can you help me?

I make an assumption that this new law was enacted at the State level.  As opposed to the Federal level.  But I am unsure of even that much.

Is this new law a Colorado law?  If so, can you please provide me with a citation?  Where can I find it?

Thanks in advance
