All of these audio files are dated January 3, 2024. I called the CVS mail order pharmacy, using my new Devoted insurance card. There are 3 short calls, that demonstrate how the phone numbers on the insurance card are not correct, and the difficulty I had just making a call. The 4th call is a long conversation.

Short call. number 1

Short call. number 2

Short call. number 3

This is the long telephone call. that I made on January 3, 2024 to the CVS Mail Order Pharmacy. The call begins with a call to Devoted, I am then transferred to CVS pharmacy customer service. The call lasts 62 minutes.

My first attempt was a failure. I asked to speak to a pharmacist. After 4.5 minutes, they hung up on me.

A 3 Hour Tour

My first visit to my new doctor. I brought a
typed up list of 9 medications. Top of my agenda was to get my prescriptions transferred to the CVS Mail Order Pharmacy in Illinois. A 3 hour tour.

36 minute call to CVS. I spoke with Jay Johnson, licensed in Arizona. The first item on my list, Lisinopril/Hydrochlorothiazicle Tab 20 - 25 mg they received as: Lisinopril/Hydrochlorothiazicle Tab 20 - 12 mg so I told him to put that on hold.

I think this is a mistake, but not sure.

I had received a letter dated Jan 2, from Aetna. I received it approximately Monday, January 8th, 2024. The letter states that since I have gout, and I am on Allopurinol, I should be concerned about possible drug interactions with a list of several possible problem medications.

two of the items on the list are:
Hydrochlorothiazicle (Hydrochlorothiazide)
Furosemide

I will call my doctors office, get to the bottom of thia, get it fixed, call the pharmacy back.

My call to my doctors office on 1/12/24.. The call lasted 9 minutes.

On 1/17/24, at 4:16 pm, I got voicemail from Elaine at my Doctor's office. I Then called my Doctor's office, at 4:22 pm, and I was able to speak with Marin. The call lasted 31 minutes.

Marin tells me that Bhargavi Chekuri corrected the order with CVS Mail Order on Monday, January 15th. Presumably, my order for Lisinopril/Hydrochlorothiazicle Tab 20 - 25 should be corrected now so the last number has been corrected from 12.5 to 25.

I will need to confirm the status with CVS Mail Order Pharmacy. Perhaps this has already shipped?

I called CVS to confirm. With great difficulty, I was able to speak with Mike Bell, a pharmacist in Arizona. He confirmed that CVS had received a revised order from my doctor. Everything is corrected, they received it on January 15th, just like I was told. The only problem is that my doctor did not sign the order. CVS faxed a document to my doctor on 1/16//24 at 12:58 pm, and requested a signature from my doctor.

I requested that CVS send a copy of the document to me. The pharmacist freaked out and said no way.

Presumably when my doctor signs and returns the document, CVS will then have what they need to finalize this last of the 9 items on my medication list.

Lisinopril/Hydrochlorothiazicle Tab 20 - 25 mg

Phone call to the doctor's office on Thursday 1/18/24 at 11:15 am. I spoke with Kierstyn. The call lasted about 13 minutes.

Phone call to the doctor's office on Tuesday 1/23/24 at 10:30 am. I spoke with Kierstyn. The call lasted about 20 minutes. I asked for blood work to be done asap, specifically on Thursday, 1/25/24, 2 days from now. She asked for that, but scheduled me for next Tuesday, 1/30/24. In the mean time, I have another doctor appointment at 1:40 today.

Phone call to the doctor's office on Monday morning 1/29/24 at 9:00 am. After 4 minutes on hold, I started with David. The call lasted about 35 minutes. Dave felt that it was his solemn, sacred duty to not transfer the call. He wanted to solve my problem, or at least he wanted to find out what my problem was.

I spoke with Chelsea. I told Chelsea I tried to schedule myself. The next available appointment was March 7th at 2 PM. It was nearly 13 minutes before I was finally able to speak with Chelsea.

She scheduled me on Feburary 20th at 12:40 PM.

Chelsea didn't want to hear about my frustrations with David.

Wednesday, 11:09 AM
I spoke with Andrea, who relayed a message from my new primary care provider, Connor McKittrick. The call lasted about 11 minutes. The message was to let me know that my new doctor would be willing to approve one (but only one) blood test for testosterone, but he would not be prescribing testosterone therapy. The purpose of the phone message was to save me a trip, because if that's what I had in mind, I would be wasting my time.

Furter evidence of gossip. My new primary care provider is a mind reader, and he has my best interest at heart, in that he wanted to save me a trip. And Andrea, who I guess was offended by my comment about being affected in a negative way, just stood right up to me and said I had no idea what I was talking about, my life experience and my point of view were worthless, and it was impossible that I might know something about this situation that she had not considered.

2/1/24: I Picked up my first lyrica:  Pregabalin 100 mg cap Nova prepackaged = Lyrica prescription at 7:10 PM on 1/11/24, the evening of my first appointment with my new primary care provider, Bhargavi Chekuri.

The instructions are:  3 pills per day.
I was given a 28 day supply = 84 pills.
At my appointment, my doctor told me to call the office 5 days before I needed a refill.
When I asked Bhargavi for more specific, she ran out of the room.  As if her hair was on fire.

On 2/1/24, I called (720) 848-9300 at about 11:30 AM. This is what happened.  The call lasted about 5 minutes.  I then spent 30 minutes documenting the call.  Then I went to lunch.

When I came back from lunch, I tried again.  It was now 2:30 PM.  I spoke with Tori.  This time the call lasted about 9 minutes.  With a little luck, my prescription for the:
Pregabalin/lyrica
will get renewed and all I will need to do now is go to the pharmacy on the correct day, and pick it up.

I got an email message, 2/1/24 at 6:21 PM that alearted me that I had this message in my UC Health portal.

On 2/2/24, I'm still wondering, what could possibly go wrong?
