I visited the post office at 16890 E Alameda Pkwy on 2/13/24. I arrived at 10:48 AM. There was only one person working. I took this picture of the line. The first person took 9 minutes. I got to the counter at 11:15. I waited in line for 27 minutes.

When I got to the counter, I asked the clerk about my return receipt from my certified item. Tracking number:
9590 9402 6710 1060 4054 53

The clerk had no information. He could not tell me anything I did not already know about the green postcard.

Next I asked the cleck questions with the intention of setting up a meeting with the Postmaster.

I asked what is the name of the Postmaster? He said "Maurice". I thought to myself, you have got to be kidding, but I wrote down Maurice with no further comment. I asked about a meeting. He said I could knock on the door. I asked what if no answer? He said I could call (303) 227-5419. I asked for the name of the Postmaster at Mt Prospect, Il.. He said I should Google. I told him I didn't think Google would work very well. He said Google was his only idea. A person in line told me the phone number for the Mt Prospect Post Office (zip code 60056) is 800 275 8777 (the same number as Aurora) then he told me (847) 392-2731.

So I knocked on the door. There was no answer. Then I called (303) 227-5419, the call call was useless.

I called the Mt Prospect Post Office at (847) 392-2731 on 2/14/24 at about 10:05 AM. I let the phone ring for

I read about the recent history of the Post Office Board of Governors.

For example:

"On August 1, 2019, the Senate confirmed three more nominations, allowing the board to reach a quorum for the first time since 2014."

It's no wonder things are so screwed up. Letter dated 8/19/20, signed by 92 (by my count) members of Congress calling for the head of Louis DeJoy on a platter. ---------------------------------------------------------
